Job Description
URS Washington Division at NASA's Johnson Space Center is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Pressure Systems Engineer.

Primary duties are review/evaluation of design drawings, calculations, and test procedures, including review of manufacturer data to verify proper pressure ratings of components and review of overpressure protection to verify proper flow capacity, location, set pressure, etc. Additional duties include performing safety/risk assessments and remaining life assessments of pressure systems.


Requirements
  • Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in design, manufacture, and test of pressure vessels/systems per ASME B&PV Codes, ASME B31 Piping Codes, and ANSI/NB-23.
  • Ability to perform: (1) calculations to determine required flow capacity of pressure relief valves, (2) pressure system remaining life assessments, and (3) pressure system safety and risk assessments.
  • Relocation assistance will be provided per specific project.
